Message delivery
Message delivery is the route by which a call’s summary and details reach the business after the call: an email inbox, a text, a chat channel, an automation platform or a webhook.
Also called: notification delivery, post-call notification, message routing
A receptionist can take a perfect message that nobody reads. Delivery is the part of the set-up that decides where the message lands and therefore whether it gets acted on. Email is the simplest route and needs only an inbox; a shared one is better than a personal one, because people take vacation.
Beyond email, delivery becomes integration: a Zap that files the call in a CRM, a webhook that hands the record to the business’s own software, a post to the team’s chat tool. The same call can go to more than one place.
The question to ask of any route is whether the team already looks there. A destination nobody watches is a missed call with extra steps.
