Zapier
Zapier is a third-party automation platform that connects thousands of web applications through trigger-and-action workflows called Zaps, without writing code.
Also called: Zap, no-code automation
A Zap starts with a trigger in one application ("a call ended") and runs one or more actions in others ("add a row to a spreadsheet", "create a contact", "post to a channel"). Zapier handles authentication with each service and the mapping between fields.
For a receptionist, Zapier is the quickest way to reach an application that has no direct integration. It is well suited to post-call actions. It can be used mid-call too, but a Zap adds latency and runs on the customer’s own Zapier account and credentials.
A long list of "integrations" that are really generic Zapier hops is not the same as product-specific integration; the useful question is what data moves and what the customer actually gets.
