Co-browse

Co-browse is a session in which an agent, human or AI, sees or guides the page a visitor is on. It can walk them through a form, a checkout or a booking while talking to them.

Also called: guided checkout, co-browsing, guided browsing

A caller who is stuck on a web page usually cannot describe what they see. Co-browsing removes the guesswork: the agent knows which step the visitor is on and can highlight a field, explain an option or, with permission, take an action.

Combined with voice over the internet, it lets a receptionist complete a purchase or booking with the visitor rather than sending them off to do it alone.

Co-browsing is not screen sharing: it is scoped to the site’s own pages, and sensitive fields (card numbers, passwords) are masked.
